NSW Government Website Directives Forum

WIPA is presenting a forum on the NSW Government Website Style Directive that was released at the end of last year.

The Directive aims to standardise key elements across all NSW Government web sites to create consistent and user-friendly sites that assist the public to access and search for NSW Government information.

All NSW Government websites accessible by the public and operated by any entity subject to the control of, or direction from, a Minister are expected to achieve compliance with the Style Directive by 30 June 2007. Exemptions will be approved in limited circumstances and on a case by case basis.

Web Accessibility 2.0 Seminar

WIPA Web Accessibility 2.0 Seminar

Afternoon seminar to help the web community understand Version 2 of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) and how they can be used to prepare sites with improved accessibility. The seminar will provide an overview of WCAG 2.0 and describe the practical differences to WCAG 1.0. The seminar will also demonstrate how to improve the accessibility of Flash and PDF material.
