NSW Government Website Directives Forum

Date: 17-Aug-07
Author: Russ Weakley

WIPA is presenting a forum on the NSW Government Website Style Directive that was released at the end of last year.

The Directive aims to standardise key elements across all NSW Government web sites to create consistent and user-friendly sites that assist the public to access and search for NSW Government information.

All NSW Government websites accessible by the public and operated by any entity subject to the control of, or direction from, a Minister are expected to achieve compliance with the Style Directive by 30 June 2007. Exemptions will be approved in limited circumstances and on a case by case basis.

At the forum, Tony Gates (General Manager Operations, Government Chief Information Office) will outline the Directives.

The NSW Food Authority has recently built a new site using the Style Directive and Craig Moroney (Manager Community Communications and Strategy) will talk about their experiences.
